What is a Green Building anyway?
“Green Building” refers to the design, construction and daily operations of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to work and live.
LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
LEED Rating Systems exist for the following types of construction
At Ai Collaborative, we want to be good Stewards of our planet. Whether we are designing around a LEED rating or not, we advise our clients how the design and their selections can make a better impact to our world.
